As part of the Singapore Geospatial Week+ 2020, Geo Connect Asia held a panel discussion on the topic "Geospatial technologies: A catalyst for sustainable infrastructure development".
The panel discussion focused on both the challenges and opportunities in new technologies and processes transforming the operational landscape of infrastructure projects across the region. The topic also reflected on the infrastructure build-out to stimulate economic activity across the region but also the need to incorporate strong principles associated with sustainability, resilience and liveability.
In addition, the panel discussed how the infrastructure industry can look to reset priorities for a post COVID-19 world, define smart and sustainable infrastructure in Southeast Asia and East Africa, apply innovative value-added solutions innovations, place geospatial at the heart of decision-making and finally, how to widen the industry talent pool.
We would like to thank our panellists and attendees for taking the time to join us in the Geo Connect Asia panel discussion at Singapore Geospatial Week+ 2020. We hope you enjoyed yourself.
