Saiful Nizam Mustafa has more than 15 years of experience in providing technical consultation to drive Geomatics in delivering solutions and rendering support to various upstream projects. He joined PETRONAS in 2008 after spending more than six years developing his technical competencies in industry, serving various sectors. Currently, he serves as the Custodian of Geoinformation and is assuming the role of Head of Geomatics at Exploration Geophysics Solutions, PETRONAS. He is leading a team of 27 energetic personnel to provide innovative geomatics solutions to PETRONAS upstream activities, downstream activities, and new energy business.

He had broad expertise in applying geo-information science for oil and gas applications, which deals with offshore survey and positioning, marine seabed surveys, land and topographic surveys, aerial mapping, and remote sensing. He is a professional member of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), the Institution of Geospatial and Remote Sensing Malaysia (IGRSM), and the National Hydrography Association - Malaysia (myMHA). He is also currently playing a role as a leadership team member in the IOGP’s (International Organization of Oil and Gas Producers) Geomatics Committee and a member of the National Hydrographic Committee and the National Geodetic Working Group.
