Bart De Lathouwer
President | Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC)
Mr. De Lathouwer is OGC's President. In this role, he manages the consortium, provides oversight and direction to the Consortium’s strategy, budget, communications & marketing, in close collaboration with the CEO. Mr. De Lathouwer also continues to be the General Manager for OGC Europe.
In Mr. De Lathouwer's previous role at OGC, he was responsible for planning and managing Innovation Initiatives such as testbeds, pilots, and interoperability experiments with an emphasis on activities in Europe. This includes leading the Smart City ESPRESSO project.
Previous to his time at OGC, Mr. De Lathouwer worked first as European liaison to the geospatial division of Autodesk and later as Autodesk's Product Manager for Server Technologies. In this role, he also served as member company representative to the OGC. As a company representative, he started the OGC CAD-GIS Interoperability Working Group (which evolved into the OGC 3DIM Domain Working Group) and managed the development of a core data access technology FDO (Feature Data Object) that later went open source in OSGeo. After returning to Europe, he worked as a geospatial expert for both private and government organizations focused on interoperability.
Previously, Mr. De Lathouwer was technical project manager at electric and water utilities as well as telecommunication companies. He holds a BS in Computer Science from the Karel de Grote-Hogeschool.

Ir. Gandhi Suppiah has over 25 years of experience with consulting firms and
contractor organisations in the design, construction and project management
of major multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of Institution of Civil Engineers with comprehensive knowledge of managing transport infrastructure and built environment assets in diverse environments, with a successful track record of delivering significant engineering projects from concept through design and construction and into lifecycle maintenance and rehabilitation.
In Malaysia, Gandhi heads the Asset Management, Asset Consultancy Division for UEM Edgenta and is responsible for the Network Maintenance of the North South Expressway (PLUS), Pan Borneo Highway, Sabah Engineering Delivery and development of digital Asset Management Systems.
He also leads the Asset Management Department at Opus International in the Far East. He is responsible for the delivery of new and maintenance engineering schemes in Asia Pacific network, both highways and the built environment.
He has strong business and strategic focus as well as excellent people management and communication skills, gained through leading multi- disciplinary teams in diverse environments, participating in industry committees and developing best practice in areas such as asset management and infrastructure technology.
Product Manager | Blue Marble Geographics
Katrina Schweikert is a Product Manager at Blue Marble Geographics. As geographer and GIS analyst, she is excited to be researching, planning and managing work on the latest developments in GIS analysis, 3D visualization of geospatial data, lidar processing, UAV imagery analysis, and geodesy. Katrina also does technical writing, training and technical assistance for Blue Marble Geographics suite of GIS and Geodesy software tools. With a degree in Geography from Middlebury College and a GIS certificate from University of Wisconsin Madison, she has also worked as an instructor in GIS and Geography, and has contributed to numerous GIS and cartography projects while studying and working the geospatial field.

Mark Nichols is an experienced executive with over 30 years’ experience in international business and the application of new technologies to enhance productivity, safety and sustainability, to industries including Agriculture, Construction, Geospatial, Mining, and Surveying. He has a proven track record in building teams and growing new businesses through applying innovative technology to solving real world problems.
During his career operating as a key member of Trimble’s senior management team growing the company from US$100m to >US$2B, he has personally managed the establishment and growth of multiple divisions from infancy to >$100m businesses.
In this process he has developed and managed the business relationships with multiple Fortune 500 companies, including the establishment and management of successful joint ventures at both an operating level and director level, in the United States and China.

Mehdi has over a decade of experience leading innovative computer vision projects. He received the PhD from Germany in machine learning and worked as a project leader in Cooperative Research Centre for Spatial Information.
He has published over 50 papers in high ranking journals, awarded by DigitalGlobe, Microsoft, Deloitte, American and UK society of photogrammetry and remote sensing, served as secretary of ISPRS Working group 1/4, and reviewed a number of ISI journals and conferences.

Motoyuki Arai is the CEO and Co-founder of Synspective Inc.
He began his career working at a US-based consulting firm in Tokyo, Japan for 5 years to support more than 15 global companies to design new business and technology strategies, to formulate corporate governance and to build the internal controls necessary to run global companies.
He received his Ph.D. in Technology Management for Innovation from the University of Tokyo.
During his time there, he focused his research on construction of energy systems to promote economic growth in developing countries.
He then implemented his knowledge of business development to solve social issues in areas such as energy, water and sanitation, agriculture, and recycling in Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Laos, Cambodia, Kenya, Tanzania, and the devastated areas of Japan.
International Business Development and Customer Support Manager | Senceive
Peter is a highly experienced engineer and manager with a variety of roles over the past 30 years ranging from intermittent business development, combined engineering and management operations of multiple small projects to the management of a regional office in the Middle East.
Initially gaining experience in the deep foundation contracting industry for 5 years in the UK with Cementation Piling & Foundations, a further 6 years was spent overseas in Malaysia, Singapore and Bahrain. For the next 16 years Peter specialised further with pile load testing using the Osterberg Cell bi-directional method with Loadtest, Inc. after a 2-year spell with a Malaysian monitoring and pile testing company. While focusing on a management role over the latter years, Peter gained expert field, reporting and commercial experience throughout the years and joined the Fugro Group in 2009 via the acquisition of the company. In 2018 Peter managed the instrumentation and monitoring service line for Fugro UK land division where he continued to be involved in fieldwork.
Peter joined Senceive near the end of 2018, taking on a new and exciting role to source and support partners in the Far East/South East Asian region to help make Senceive the market leader for structural and geotechnical remote condition monitoring solutions using wireless sensors.
